This year, for 6 1/2 months, we get a taste of what Neptune in Aries will be like during its journey through Aries. Neptune travels through Aries until March 2040! Its a long, generational influence.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Our sense of identity will shift. This signals a change people’s egos and self-image. People start identifying with their bigger dreams, fantasies & ideals, and acting on them. This is going to thrust a lot of people into action. Aries is about the self-image & ego and Neptune is like a pair of rose-colored glasses. The lines get blurred. There will be some self-deception. Neptune brings confusion. Some people will have grandiose egos. People will fall into illusions around their self-image.  Others will adopt a more spiritual, compassionate attitude.

Neptune connects us to higher ideals, religion, spirituality, the occult, psychic ability, our subconscious. If taken to the extreme, you’ll see people get caught up in cults or causes that take them away from reality, behaving recklessly. But, for many, it will be positive, especially if you are looking to strengthen your intuition & psychic abilities, connect with a spiritual energy, or heal yourself.

Some people will give up their ego and surrender to a higher ideal. Some people will devote themselves to a bigger cause, religion, or spiritual ideology. Others might embrace a new dream for themselves. Dare to have a new dream!

A need to redefine who we are, our self image, work through the illusions. People will go through phases where they do not know who they are, where they struggle with how to present themselves, or go after the things they want; some people may lose connection with their true selves and feel they are constantly searching for an identity or that they are moving from one self-assertion to the next, as they adapt their identity to the quickly shifting world. This is an opportunity to redefine your self image, by letting go of an old image. Accept the ebbs and flows around your self image, and understand that you are always a work in progress. Trusting yourself is key.

Neptune changing signs indicates a shift in art, creativity, cultural aesthetics. Neptune governs imagination, inspiration, illusions & the collective unconscious. Art produced when Neptune is in Aries will take on Aries themes: being bold, daring, taking risks, being a pioneer, involving action, leadership, fighting, war, combat, weapons, heroism, speed, competition, and other symbolic archetypes of Aries. Neptune is related to music, dance, writing, movies, tv, entertainment and more. All of these industries will be influenced by the Aries themes.

The last time Neptune was in Aries (1861-1875) photography became a new art form & photojournalism began. The Crimean War and American Civil War was highly photographed. This is when newspapers began printing images of war.

Neptune is associated with drugs and healing. Aries likes to move fast, and there could be new ways to boost energy levels and focus. New drugs become mainstream that improve inflammation, headaches, sinuses, cuts, burns, hives, acne, scars, eye strain or vision problems, jaw and teeth clenching, or being overly stimulated. Drugs or healing modalities that improve stress, impulsiveness, restlessness might become more culturally popular. Hormones like adrenaline, cortisol, testosterone, and dopamine are associated with Aries. Expect to see developments there as well. AI & virtual reality might play into new healing modalities, too.

Willing to fight for a dream – The Aries archetype is a warrior or an action-oriented person, someone courageous, confident, and able to lead people because their enthusiasm for something is magnetic. You might become very passionate about acting on a dream that you have, a creative idea or spiritual inspiration. This can be a welcomed change from when Neptune was in Pisces when there was less action & more confusion & loss or a focus on feelings and wanting to be alone; you might feel much more willing to make moves and take action on your dreams now, and not just let it be in your imagination. Aries can be rebellious. We will see leaders lead with a grand vision, willing to take risks and be a pioneers. This will activate ideological movements and activism. People will be ready to fight, take action, be more divisive, argumentative, and even aggressive in the pursuit of their ideals, dreams and fantasies. I could see a lot of religious activists, social reformers, social crusaders, but its a cult and its ready to fight, not find harmony, not compromise, its about defending and protecting something. One of the archetypes I think of when I think of Neptune in Aries is John Wilkes Booth.

The last time Neptune was in Aries, John Wilkes Booth assassinated Abraham Lincoln in 1865. Booth was a confederate sympathizer who believed he was avenging the South after its defeat in the Civil War. He was angry when the South surrendered, and even more enraged when Lincoln gave a speech suggesting that formerly enslaved people would become citizens and vote. In true Aries fashion, it was done impulsively. Booth learned that day that Lincoln would be attending Ford’s theater that night, leaving him with only a few hours to plan the attack. After the attack, Booth leaped from the balcony, catching his spur on a flag, and crashing onto the stage, breaking his leg in the process. Neptune in Aries is idealistic, but it can also blur the line between fantasy and aggression. It adds a foggy zeal to acts of war or martyrdom, which Booth definitely saw himself as engaging in.

Neptune in Aries indicates a time of reckless behavior. Aries likes to forge ahead and can be quite impatient if they are held back. Neptune dissolves boundaries between you and others. This could look like starting fights without a clear intention, charging ahead on ideals without the facts. People will be fired up, but its rooted in illusion and not grounded in reality or a long-term plan. People will overestimate what they are capable of and this leads to bad choices and reckless behavior.

The highest vibration for Neptune in Aries:

  • Forming a new dream or a new self-image.
  • You adopt a more compassionate & empathetic outlook in life.
  • You can trust what you are feeling & sensing without needing a lot of tangible affirmation.
  • This can be healing for a lot of people, restoring confidence & establishing a stronger self-image.

People with a reliable intuition & strong spiritual sense of self will thrive during this time.

RECAP:

  • Neptune is a spiritual influence. Expect a spiritual energy to come to your Aries house. You may feel called to action around a spiritual cause or path. Neptune wants peace. Aries wants war. Decide what is worth fighting for.
  • Chance to tap into a higher truth, connect with something outside of your ego, expand your spiritual self, and adopt a “spiritual image”.
  • The “spiritual warrior” – willing to fight for a bigger cause, especially in defense of their religious or philosophical beliefs.
  • Neptune is about a bigger dream, and now you are called to take action on it. You may be forming a new dream, and letting go of an old one that is no longer resonating with your vibration.
  • Beware of self-deception, and getting obsessed with the unknown. Don’t allow your fears to creep in. Tap into your spiritual truth and learn to trust yourself, trust your intuition, what you are sensing, and allow that to guide your ego during these energies.

XOXO Allison 🖤
